LAKE COUNTY – Planning for ongoing operations are important, but so is planning for when an enterprise closes. At the Dec. 20 Board of Commissioners meeting, a resolution was passed increasing appropriations to the Lake County Department of Utilities Solid Waste Closure/Post Closure Fund.

Mentor Fire Rescue raises over $5,500 for Lake County needy

MENTOR – The Mentor Fire Rescue the Needy Food Drive was held at the Great Lakes Mall Nov. 30 and Dec. 1. Volunteers from Mentor Fire and Dispatch braved the cold to collect more than 50 pounds of non-perishable foods and $5,540 in cash.
