ANDOVER – If you are over the age of 18 and have an interest in flag football with friends, you may want to check out this year’s PV Laker Alumni flag football game set for 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27, at Pymatuning Valley High School in Andover.(From Nov. 22 edition).

According to Co-Organizer Chad Paul, this year’s event will start with registration at 6 p.m. the day of the event, the picking of teams at 6:45 p.m. followed by kick-off at 7 p.m.
“It’s open to anyone that wants to play,” said Paul. “We just want to generate a lot of people.”
New elements to look forward to this year include opportunities for attendees to purchase food at the concession stand through Pymatuning Valley Laker Boosters in order to raise money for their organization, as well as the chance to receive discounts for Russell’s Restaurant, who are also sponsoring t-shirts.
“If you show up with a coat, we will knock $10 off your entry fee and if you show up with a hat or gloves, you’ll get a $5 coupon for Russell’s,” said Paul.
Entrance fees otherwise is $20 per person, cash only, and can be paid the day of the game.
It includes a t-shirt and player registration fee.
“The money that is being raised is going towards Pymatuning Area Youth Organization (PAYO) flag football program, which has gained steam this year,” said Paul.
In hopes of being prepared for the event itself, Paul said he will be working hard on several different aspects beforehand and anyone who wants to be involved are welcome to contact him.
“Russell’s helped out so much and really invigorated me wanting to pursue it,” said Paul. “Thank you to all those involved that make this event possible, we couldn't make it happen with your support. I’m pleased to continue to make it a community event that will bring people back together each year to kick-off the Thanksgiving holiday on a similar note. I just want it to be something people can enjoy, other than family and friends to look forward to when they come home.
Anyone interested in participating in this year’s game Paul said can send him an email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
“Dress warm and don’t let the weather scare you from a good time,” Paul added on a final note.
