Marguerite “Peg” J. Lorentzen, 92 of East 26th St. Ashtabula (formerly of Washington Blvd, Saybrook Township) died Wednesday, July 11 at the Ashtabula County Medical Center. She was born August 16, 1919, in Ashtabula the daughter of Frans and Marie (McCarty) Lorentzen and has been a lifetime area resident.
She was a 1937 graduate of Ashtabula High School and had worked for C. L. Carle Co. for 23 years, the Mike Presciano Co for 9 years, and had worked for Raser Tannery until her retirement in 1975.She is a member of Our Lady of Peace Church and had been a member of the Women’s Guild at St. Joseph Church. She loved little children and animals.
Surviving her is her sister, Florence Lorentzen of Ashtabula; a niece, Jacqueline Maki of Irving, Texas and a nephew, Ronald Lorentzen of Washington, D. C. She was preceded in death by her parents and by two brothers, Thomas and Allen Lorentzen and a nephew, David Lorentzen.
Funeral service were Monday, July 16 at the Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, 526 West Prospect Rd. Ashtabula with Rev. Father Ernesto Rodriguez officiating. Burial was in Edgewood Cemetery.
