Elva I. Wickline, age 85, of Mentor, passed away May 11 at Kemper House in Mentor.
Born Jan. 29, 1928 in Cleveland, she had lived in Willowick before moving to Mentor 22 years ago.
Mrs. Wickline was an office manager for many years prior to her retirement.
Survivors are her children, Gregory G. (Nancy) Wickline of CO, Paul O. Wickline of Mentor and Matthew J. (Marcy Hardart) Wickline of CA; grandchildren, Gregory T. (Heidi) Wickline, Martin W. (Michelle) Wickline, Jeanette I. Wickline, Marianne C. (Jon) Stockho, Rebecca J., Glenn W., Jane C., Joseph H., and Thomas W. Wickline; great-grandchildren Jason, Ethan, Moriah, Isaac, Eva, Adam, Anastasia, Malachi, Ellyanna, Amelia, Solomon, Hanna, Sean, Garrett and Quenten; brother, Richard (Barbara) Epaves; nieces, Susan (James) Karel and Peggi Lyttle. She is also survived by many other loving family members.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William A. Wickline Sr.; her son, William A. Wickline Jr.; parents, Oliver and Elva Epaves; sister, Olive Fox and brother, Robert Epaves.

Lucile Walter, age 88, resident of Geneva the past two years, died early Sunday, May 19 at the Geneva Village Nursing Home.
She was born April 2, 1925 in Lenox Twp., the daughter of Hays and Susie (Smith) Weaver and has lived in northeast Ohio most of her life, returning to Geneva from Mentor in 2011.
She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Perry, she attended the Baptist Bible Institute and she enjoyed crocheting and baking. She and her late husband Robert had their own personal nursing home ministry.
Survivors include two children, Vickie M. Stitt of Aurora, CO and Richard M. Walter of Denver, CO, three grandsons, Cody Walker, David (Carrie) Briggs and Shane (Christine) Briggs, a great-grandson, Shane Christopher and a sister, Harriette Kindig of Geneva.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert in 2011, a grandson, Jeffrey Briggs, a brother, Berchard Weaver and five sisters, Florence Tucker, Vera Kelly, Cora Shinaberry, Susie Cook and Donna Weaver.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 22 at 11 a.m. at the Geneva Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, 323 S. Broadway, Geneva with Pastor Stoney Drain of the Painesville Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Francis R. Trun, age 93, formerly of Westshore Drive, Ashtabula passed away Friday, May 10 at the Menorah Park Center.
He was born September 3, 1919 in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of Josef and Aleana (Hadak) Trun and had been an Ashtabula resident since 1958.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served during the World War II before being honorably discharged on October 30, 1945.
Prior to his retirement, he worked for the State of Ohio as the Director of the Bureau of Support.
A member of Mother of Sorrows Church, he was instrumental in the coordination of the annual Mother of Sorrows Church Festival and was active in the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Trun enjoyed Steelers football, sports, golf, bowling, and gardening.
His survivors include eight children, Eileen Schaefer of Knoxville, TN, Jeffrey Trun of Rising Sun, MD, Dian Calderone and Maribeth Trun, both of Newport News, VA, Douglas Trun of Virginia, Denise Trun of Lyndhurst, Nancy Trun of Pittsburgh, PA, and Jessica (Benjamin) Thirlby; and two grandchildren, Matthew and Kathryn Calderone.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Margaret M. (Jackson) Trun on March 9, 2002; and numerous siblings including Jewel, Maria, Anne, Dorothy, and James; and his parents.
A Memorial Mass was held at Our Lady of Peace Parish, Mother of Sorrows Worship Site, 1514 West 6th Street, Ashtabula. The Rev. Raymond Thomas, Pastor presided. Inurnment was in the St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum.

She was born May 6, 1933 in Virgie, KY to Bertha and Wilburn Osborne.
She married John Tackett in Virgie, KY on Sept. 25, 1948. Lois worked for many years and retired from Tegam in Geneva.
She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda (Vern) Thompson of Geneva, Cheryl Tackett of FL; grandchildren, Rick (Mary Beth) Tackett, Courtney Thompson, Vern Thompson III, and great-granddaughter, Bailey Tackett.

Lillian White Swank, age 85, of Harpersfield Township, passed away May 15 at home surrounded by her family.
She was born Aug. 2, 1927 in Mentor to Lillian (Eichorn) and Thomas White and married Chester Swank in Chardon in 1958. Lillian was the owner/operator of Spring Hill Farm Market and formerly worked as an Ohio State Extension Agent. She was a 1945 graduate of Chardon High School and earned a BS in home economics from The Ohio State University.
She is survived by her son, Thomas E. (Hope) Swank of Harpersfield; daughter, Cindy Swank (Pete) Cole of Harpersfield; stepdaughters, Roberta Thompson of Lakewood and Kathy (Dan) Corey of Westerville; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Swank; and her parents.

Dave Stawiery, age 57, of Concord Twp. and formerly of Willoughby, passed away May 13 after a courageous battle with renal cancer.
He was born Aug. 30, 1955 in Akron. Dave was employed for the last 15 years at Cleveland Clinic as a Systems Analyst in the Information Technology Division.
Survivors include wife, Gale Leonard-Stawiery; step-son, Chad Leonard; children, Fred and Doug Kinford from his previous marriage to Bonnie (Kinford) Stawiery; and although separated by distance and time, his sister Helen MacClellan; and his beloved dogs, Anjin and Sassy.

Franklin J. Siebert Jr. (also known as Big Frank to many), a resident of Mentor for the past 40 years, passed away surrounded by his family, at Hillcrest Hospital May 17.
Born in Cleveland to Franklin J. Siebert Sr. and Angelina (Mannarino) Siebert Dec. 14, 1937.
He graduated from Collinwood High School in 1956. He was an electrician at Warner and Swasey and retired from Lubrizol Corporation after 18 years of service.
Survivors include his high school sweetheart and wife, Beverly A. (Leskovec) of 54 years; five children, Franklin III (Janine) Siebert, Cynthia (Duane) Seelinger, Cheryl (Karl) Staas, Cathy Russell, and Carol (Tony) Martucci; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a future great-grandson due this summer; friend, Dutch Cherne, who was like a brother to him; and many cousins. He is preceded in death by his mom and dad; numerous aunts and uncles.

Cynthia Ann Shouvlin, age 59, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, May 15 at TriPoint Medical Center.
She was born July 17, 1953 in Ashtabula, the daughter of Louis and Patricia (Wrisley) Gaggiano and was a lifelong area resident.
Cyndi graduated from St. John Class of 1971. Cyndi graduated from Fairview Hospital School of Nursing, and then received her BSN from Kent State University Main Campus.
She married the love of her life, John Shouvlin, in Ashtabula on November 26, 1983. Cyndi was a member of Our Lady of Peace- Mother of Sorrows Worship Site. Cyndi was the school nurse at Sts. John and Paul School for about 10 years, and prior to that she worked in the Emergency Room at the Ashtabula County Medical Center.
Cyndi was a registered nurse by trade, but her main focus and priority were her daughters. She enjoyed painting, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Cyndi is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, John; her mother Patricia Gaggiano of Ashtabula; her daughters, Ellen Shouvlin of Painesville, and Lizzie Shouvlin of Ashtabula; sister, Cathy Migliore of New Jersey; brother, Jim Gaggiano of Poland, OH; sister-in-law, Tina Gaggiano of Ashtabula; nieces and nephew, Kelly and Laura Migliore and Anthony and Michelle Gaggiano, and numerous other nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Louis Gaggiano, and her grandparents.
Funeral services were held on Monday, May 20 at Our Lady of Peace- Mother of Sorrows Worship Site, with Father Raymond Thomas officiating.
Inurnment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery at the convenience of the family

Nancy F. Proctor, age 80, of Ashtabula died Friday, May 17 at University Hospitals Geneva Medical Center.
She was born January 27, 1933 in Ashtabula the daughter of Thomas K. and Ethel M. (Francis) Proctor and has been a lifetime area resident.
She was a 1951 graduate of Ashtabula High School and had worked at Garfield’s Restaurant for 13 years and six years at Mike’s Farm Market.
She enjoyed her flower garden and reading.
Surviving her is her daughter, Tammy (Ronald L.) Kaydo of Jefferson and three grandchildren, Heath A. (Megan Buccieri) Kaydo, Ronald A. Kaydo and Reese A. Kaydo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Marjie, Catherine Wilkinson and Auta Halman and seven brothers, Byrd Metcalf, Cecil Metcalf, Wilber Proctor, Thomas Proctor, Larry Proctor, William Proctor and Norman Proctor who died 15 minutes after her.

With sorrow the Diocese of Youngstown announce the death of Reverend Charles Poore on Thursday May 16. He was 50-years-old.
He is survived by his two brothers, Randy (Karen) Poore, Mark (Sheila) Poore; sisters: Karen (John) Andrew, Sharon Copeland, Jeanne (Cleo) Rudler all of Conneaut; nieces: Christine McMunn, Pam Koziarski, Deanna Watson; nephews: John Andrew, Michael Andrew, Mathew Copeland, Randy Poore II, Logan Poore, Kayla Poore, Christopher Poore; several great-nieces and great-nephews and his canine companion: Ryann.
Father Poore was born July 5, 1962 in Conneaut. He graduated from Conneaut High School. He earned a bachelor of arts in history from Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus and a master of divinity from Mount St. Mary's of the West Seminary in Cincinnati.
Father Poore was ordained on June 10, 1989 by the Most Reverend James Malone in the Cathedral of St. Clolumbia. Following ordination, Father Poore served as parochial vicar of St. Charles, Boardman, St. Michael, Canton, St. Joseph, Austintown, and St. Rose, Girard. He was appointed pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus, Youngstown (merged parish name St. Angela Merici), administrator of St. Rose of Lima, Youngstown (now in Campbell), administrator of Queen of the Holy Rosary, Lowellville and most recently as pastor of St. Joseph, Jefferson and St. Andrew, Sheffield. Father Poore served two terms on the diocesan Prebyteral Council.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated with the Most Reverend George V. Murry, S.J. Bishop of Youngstown as celebrant Monday, May 20 in St. Frances Cabrini Church, 744 Mill Street, Conneaut, with viewing in the Church from 8:45 to 10:45 a.m. Burial is in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Conneaut.
Donations may be made to Catholic Charities of Ashtabula County for the Fr. Charles Poore Fund for Mental Health. The Wackerly Funeral Home in Canton is in charge arraignments.

Former Conneaut resident, Eileen J. Phillips, age 78, died Wednesday, May 15, in Columbus.
She was born July 6, 1934, in Conneaut, and was the daughter of Alex and Martha (Paananen) Kantola.
A 1952 graduate of Rowe High School, she married Albert John Phillips on December 10, 1954. She was a homemaker and a member of the Conneaut Area Historical Society. She enjoyed taking nightly drives to look at the lake, reading traveling, and spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters Karen (Richard) Evans of Moreno Valley, CA, and Susan (Paul) Barnes of Williamsport; her son Steven Phillips (Shael Lambert) of Girard; three brothers, John (Jean) Kantola of Kansas City, MO, Kenneth (Diane) Kantola of Riverside, CA, and Robert (Glenda) Kantola of Conneaut; grandchildren Adam Barnes, Wesley and wife Katie (Chrismer) Barnes, Rachel (Zac) Holmes, Perry Barnes, Jonathan Evans, Harrison Evans, and Stanley Phillips; great grandchildren, Makayla Barnes, Henry Barnes, Eliza Barnes, and Paul Barnes; and numerous nieces, nephews, and more distant relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 56 years and three days, Albert John Phillips; a brother Thomas Kantola; and a sister Doris Tuttle.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 15 in East Conneaut Cemetery.
A Celebration of Life Picnic will take place later that day from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Lower Pavilion at Conneaut Township Park.

Owen D. “Pete” Overly, age 90, died on Sunday, May 12.
He was born on April 1, 1923, in Williamsfield, a son of Clara Viola (Owens) and George Wesley Overly.
He was a 1941 graduate of Williamsfield High School. An area resident for most of his life, Mr. Overly wintered in Ocala, Florida.
Mr. Overly served in the United States Army during World War II for the Battery D 778th Anti Aircraft Artillery Automatic Weapons Battalion. He served in Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe.
On August 2, 1946 he married Virginia Mae Currie. Mr. Overly was a truck driver for Kaplan Trucking and drove truck for over 30 years. He was a member of former Andover Lodge No. 506 F & A Masons and belonged to the Elks, Moose and VFW in Ocala, Florida. When Mr. Overly retired he enjoyed playing golf.
Survivors include a daughter, Rebecca J. (Kenneth) Stevenson of Andover; two sons, Dale O. (Nancy) Overly of Johnston and Myron “Mike” L. (Paula) Overly of Andover; nine grandchildren, Jackie, Julie, Shelli, Sheri, Keri, Wendy, Anthony, Timothy and Shawn; 17 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter.
Mr. Overly is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 63 years, Virginia Mae Overly; an infant son, Charles Overly; a son, John R. “Jack” Overly; two great-grandsons, Taylor Plizga and Corey Overly; a sister, Annabell Limkeldie; and three brothers, Mike, Lloyd and Bunt Overly.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 18 at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 134 Prospect St. Andover. Burial followed in Maple Grove Cemetery, Andover.

Fred Eric Noss, age 77, of Plymouth Brown Road passed away Thursday, May 16 at the Ashtabula County Medical Center.
Born March 30, 1936 in Youngstown, he was the son of Fred A. and Herta (Jahnke) Noss and graduated from Edgewood Senior High School Class of 1954.
A veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, he was honorably discharged in June of 1959. Fred retired from Reliance Electric after 30 years of service and previously worked seven years for National Distillers.
He married the love of his life, Alice (Corlew) Spring, on February 14, 1971. A member of the Kingsville First Baptist Church where he served as a trustee, he also devoted countless hours of his time at Camp Koinonia. A strong-willed and, some would say, stubborn man, he was truly dedicated to any task to which he committed himself. Fred and Alice spent each day reading the Bible.
Fred was a wonderful craftsman, a certified welder, an apprentice electrician, and enjoyed woodworking, planting flowers and shrubs, and watching the birds off his back deck. Fred loved cooking, baking, fishing, and spending time with his friends and family. A Godly man and wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandpa, and brother; he was devoted to his family.
Mr. Noss is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Alice Noss; six children, Yvonne (Gustavo) Ayala of Big Spring, TX, Jeffrey (Patricia) Spring of N. Kingsville, Garrett (Christine) Spring of Conneaut, Karen (Fred) Corlew of Millfield, Penni (John) Bergstrom of Stanton, TX, and John (Jodie) Spring of Jefferson; 15 grandchildren, Crystal, Joy, Jessie, Greg, Daniel, Cole, Derrick, Amber, Amy, Sierra, Josh, Boone, Alexandria, Corrinne, and Savannah; 11 great-grandchildren, Caroline, Jaiden, Kyndall, Jevonte, Keigan, Jeraya, Marleigh, JaMiia, Alexis, Natalie, and Hudson; and his sister, Shirley A. He was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Jean Noss in infancy and his parents.

Zachery Taylor Murphy, age 21, died Wednesday, May 15 as a result of an automobile accident.
He was born April 17, 1992 in Painesville, and has lived most of his life in Ashtabula County.
Zachery loved spending time with his 2-year-old son, Bentley Taylor Murphy, and also with his other family members and friends. He enjoyed fishing, being outdoors and loved music and was an excellent rap singer.
He survived by his son, Bentley Taylor Murphy; girlfriend, Barbara Smith; mother, Vicki Murphy; step-father, Donald Rood; sister, Megan Rood; half brother, Robbie Rood and half sister Krystal; maternal grandfather, Charles Murphy; paternal grandmother, Barbara Rood; maternal great-grandparents, Virgil and Beulah Murphy.
He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Zachery was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Marie and William Holbert; maternal grandmother, Lola Murphy; maternal grandfather, Clark Rood.
Graveside services were held on Saturday, May 18 at Montville Cemetery, Madison Road (Route 528) just north of Route 6 in Montville Township, with Reverend Thomas Purchase, officiating.

Norma M. Morris, age 86, of Conneaut, passed away Thursday evening May 16, at Lake Pointe Rehab and Nursing Center in Conneaut.
Born February 18, 1927, in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of George A. MacMillen and Norma Ruth (Ide) MacMillen.
She graduated from Taylor Alderdice High School in Pittsburgh, PA, and received her bachelor’s degree from PCW (now Chatham University). She was employed by the West Hartford (CT) Public School System.
After retiring in 1979, Norma and her husband, George, built their retirement home next door to her sister, Joan M. Newcomb and her husband James C. Newcomb, Jr. on Daniels Ave. in Conneaut. The two families enjoyed raising beef cattle and growing and canning fruits and vegetables. Norma also loved to grow cutting flowers. Attractive flower arrangements often adorned her home.
She was an active member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ where she served on numerous committees including the flower committee and soup and sandwich luncheons. Norma served as head of Friends of the Conneaut Public Library and was recognized for outstanding support and service as a volunteer. Her favorite activity was as a participating member of the Library’s book discussion group. She was an avid reader, enjoying over 70 books a year. Norma was also a member of the Conneaut Quilters Guild and the Arts Center Quilters.
Norma was a devoted wife of 65 years, marrying her high school sweetheart, George on June 19, 1948. In addition to reading and quilting, she enjoyed watching Public Television programs and movies, gardening, and cooking. She also had a great interest in British history.
Norma is survived by her husband George J. Morris of Conneaut; and three sons, Richard C. (Margaret) Morris of Saratoga Springs, NY, Jeffrey D. (Susan) Morris of East Stroudsburg, PA, and Ronald E. (Susan) Morris of Saratoga Springs, NY; six grandchildren, Michael, Margaret, Peter, David, Christopher, and Kimberly; and one great-granddaughter, Greta; nieces and nephews, Robert, Paul and Scott Morris, James, Janet, and Judy Newcomb (Grotsky), and Duncan, David and Mary Cameron (Danka).
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Joan M. Newcomb on March 19, 2010; her sister-in-law Elsa Cameron on March 10, 2013; and her aunt Olive MacMillen.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, May 21, at the Marcy Funeral Home, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, with Pastor Joyce Shellhammer of First Congregational UCC officiating. Burial is in East Conneaut Cemetery, Conneaut.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in lieu of flowers to the First Congregational UCC, 211 Buffalo St., Conneaut, OH. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

David Louis Moody, Jr., age 89, of West Avenue passed away Thursday, May 16 at the ICU of Ashtabula County Medical Center surrounded by his loving wife and children.
He was born January 5, 1924 in Mobile, AL, the son of Dwight L. and Lu Ella (McClinton) Moody and had been an Ashtabula resident since 1951.
David graduated from Eureka High School in Hattiesburg, MS. He went on to attend Tuskegee Institute in Tuskegee, AL where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Commercial Dietetics, 1951. There, he met the love of his life, Mary Louise Hill, whom he married June 2, 1949.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served during World War II before being honorably discharged on August 31, 1945.
A pillar of Peoples Baptist Church for 61 years, he loved nothing more than donating his time to the beautification of the church edifice. In addition, he served for a time as a church trustee.
Prior to his retirement in 1989, David served as Director of Nutritional Services for the Ashtabula County Medical Center (formerly Ashtabula General Hospital). In 2010, he and his wife received the ACMC Breaking the Barrier Community Impact Award for their efforts as the first African American professional couple in Ashtabula County. Moreover, their expertise, innovation, and work ethic provided a higher quality of care and more efficient dietary methods to professional food service. They also helped in breaking down the barriers of racial discrimination in their era; and helped other African Americans gain rightful employment based on their talents.
He was formerly a member of Rotary International and the Lions Club. In addition, he received a number of awards including: The ACMC Service Award, The Hospital and Food Administration Award from Cornell University, and The American Hospital Association, Administrators Award.
His survivors include his wife of nearly 64 years, Mary (Hill) Moody; three children, Stephanie Moody of Ashtabula, Rosalind Moody-Lanton of Cincinnati, and Dr. David L. (Linda) Moody III of Mentor; and four grandchildren, Ferrial Hussein Lanton, Kristopher David Moody, Timothy Michael Moody, and Aaron Louis Moody.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents; his parents-in-law whom he dearly loved, Jesse and Willie Mae Hill; Ira Louis Moody; and his dear friend who was like a brother, William “Billy” Webb.
He also leaves to cherish his memory: Dwight L. (Denise) Moody, Lucille Moody (Rico) Jefferson, Hazel (Ellis) Holloway, Brenda L. Pollard and children; his god-children, Jacqueline (Morrison) Nix, Jarrod Bunch, Andre Terrell, Robin Williams; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Calling hours will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a service to follow at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 24, at Peoples Baptist Church, 3837 West Avenue, Ashtabula.
The Reverend Jimmie D. Smith, Pastor of Lake Galilee Baptist Church, Cleveland will officiate with Rev. Dr. German Womack, Pastor delivering the eulogy. Burial will be in Ridgeview Cemetery with full military honors provided by American Legion Dewey Howlett Post #103.
Contributions may be made to Peoples Missionary Baptist Church, Hospice of the Western Reserve, or the Oncology Department of the Ashtabula County Medical Center.

Freddie V. Minor, age 72, of North Kingsville died Tuesday, May 14 at home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Fred was born on May 9, 1941 in Knoxville, Tennessee the son of Fred and Alice (Brown) Minor. Fred came to live with his grandparents, Viola and Charles McClintock, when he was in the fifth grade.
Graduating from Conneaut High School in 1959, Fred was an avid basketball player who made All-County, All District, and All-Sectional teams in 1959. Fred served in the United States Marine Corp from 1959 to 1963. While in the Marine Corps, he served as a member of the Presidential Honor Guard in Washington, D.C. under the Kennedy Administration.
When he returned to Conneaut, Fred worked at the Reactive Metal Plant in Ashtabula, Weirton Steel in Weirton, West Virginia, and Emco-Wheaton. He graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Technology in 1966. He later worked as a realtor for Bunny Thayer Realty, Gleason Realty, Lake Shore Reality, and Harbor Realty.
Fred was an avid golfer and was a member of many golf leagues over the years. He belonged to the American Legion Cowle Post 151. He especially loved spending time with his granddaughter, Rylie, who helped take care of her Papa after his diagnosis of cancer. On October 31, 2005, Fred was given a second chance at life when he received a heart transplant.
Fred is survived by his wife, Rita (McCann), whom he married on June 19, 1965; a son, Fredrick (Renee) Minor of North Kingsville, and their children, Brittany, Brenden, and Brady; a daughter, Michelle Minor of North Kingsville and her daughter, Rylie Minor-Tharp; several cousins in West Virginia; and a special friend, Minnie Blessing of Conneaut.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Brown Minor; maternal grandparents, Viola and Charles McClintock; and several aunts and cousins.
Funeral service was held on Friday, May 17 at the RAISIAN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 581 Harbor Street.
Burial followed at St. Joseph Cemetery, Route 20, Conneaut, where the American Legion Honor Squad conducted military honors.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve or the Animal Protective League. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Michael A, Marucci, age 53, of Cleveland and formerly of the Lake County area, passed away May 11.
He was born July 14, 1959 in Cleveland.
Survivors include his daughter, Shannon Marucci of Dorset; father, Jake (Barbara) Marucci of Willoughby; brothers, Rick (Patti) Marucci of Willowick, Patrick (Sue) Marucci of Mentor, Greg Marucci of Willoughby; sister, Kelly Belnap of Willoughby; step-brother, Tom (Lottie) Lewis of Akron; and step-sister, April (Rob) Heym of Ashtabula; former wife, Sue Marucci; and many aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Joanne Cooney.
A private family service was held at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home.

Shirley A. Kotnick, age 76, of Roaming Shores died on May 16 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Andover.
She was born on October 5, 1936 in Marysville to Charles L. and Doris (Collinson) Orahood.
Mrs. Kotnick worked as the manager/cashier at the Hostess/Wonder Bread store in Andover for many years until it closed, and then in Madison until her retirement in 1989. She enjoyed many things including gardening, bird watching, horses, and spending time with friends and family.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald W. Kotnick, whom she married on March 4, 1988. She is also survived by son, Michael (Kathy) Hartz of Middlefield, daughters, Brenda (Glenn) Haist of Roaming Shores and Rhonda (Jeff) Steen of Andover, step-daughters Stephanie (Chip) Browning of Ashtabula, Heather (Kevin) Price of Idaho, step-son, Brian Kotnick of Cheyenne, Wyoming, brother Ronald (Mary Jo) Orahood of Andover, sister-in-law, Marian Orahood of Andover, and 18 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Richard Orahood.
Funeral Services were held on Monday, May 20 at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 134 Prospect Street, Andover. Burial took place in Maple Grove Cemetery, Andover.

Harry E. Knapp, age 59, of Ashtabula, passed away peacefully, Saturday, May 18 at Vibra Hospital in Warren.
Born August 21, 1953, in Ashtabula the son of the late Clarence E. and Viola (Parmley) Knapp and had been a lifelong area resident.
A Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1976 to 1982. He worked for some years at CocaCola foods in Geneva. He was affiliated with Catholic Charities and was previously a member of the Geneva VFW.
Harry is survived by his sisters, Arlene (Bill) Hayes of Carrollton, and Ada Downen of Texas; longtime companion, Lola Brummitt of Ashtabula; and nieces and nephews, Lisa (Jeff) Ferl, Tabitha McHan, Laurie Higgins, Tommi Jo Hayes, Wade Hayes, Farrell Weger, and Harrry Weger.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 22 at 1 p.m. at the ZABACK-WILLIAMS-DUCRO FUNERAL HOME, 500 W. Prospect Ave, with Pastor Kenneth Roberts of the Pentecostal Church of God officiating. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from noon until the time of service at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Edgewood Cemetery.
