Geneva Rotary Chocolate Fest: A Sweet Tradition

GENEVA - Nearly five hundred people crowded the commons area at Geneva High School last spring to network with local business owners, to reconnect with friends and neighbors and to sample chocolate in every imaginable permutation at Geneva Rotary’s annual Chocolate Fest and event organizer Terri Vincent said she expects a big turnout again this year.

JAHS to practice a lock-down drill

On Wednesday, March 20, Jefferson Area High School is going to practice a lock-down drill that coordinates the police department, fire department, EMS and street department. The drill will begin at 1 p.m. and will end around 1:45 p.m. This drill will impact only the junior/senior high school. This will not impact Jefferson Elementary or Rock Creek.

Pretty Good Books offers pretty good resources, services and genuine conversation

ASHTABULA – When owners Sarah and Joe Zinski decided to purchase the Lofthouse Book Store in May of 2018, they found themselves in a spellbound adventure of renovation and recreation to produce a bookstore, Pretty Good Books, that not only is a place to purchase literature, but a place to feel appreciated and educated.
