Area churches join together for their annual community Thanksgiving dinner

ANDOVER – In hopes of bringing the community together for a bountiful meal they could enjoy, several area churches coffered their free Thanksgiving community dinner on Thursday, Nov. 15 at Andover Christian Church’s Family Life Center once again this year off of Stillman Street. ANDOVER – Stuffed chicken breast, ham, mashed potatoes with gravy, corn, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes, cranberries, vegetable and fruit salad, rolls, corn bread, as well as an assortment of pies filled the tables and tummies of various school staff on Friday, Nov. 9 at PV High School thanks to Lori Tabor’s Foods and Hospitality Class’ annual Thanksgiving dinner cooking tradition.(From Nov. 16 edition).

Kinsman Free Public Library introduces their Project Feeder Watch program

 KINSMAN – An assortment of bird slides were presented to the public through Sabrewing Nature Tours expert Larry Richardson on Tuesday, Nov. 11 at Kinsman Free Public library in hopes of involving library patrons this winter in The Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s Project FeederWatch program.(From Nov. 16 edition).

Andover Village voters pass four renewal tax issues Nov. 6

ANDOVER-Registered voters in Andover Village supported and pass all four renewal tax issues on the election ballot this past Tuesday, Nov. 6 by overwhelming margins.Three of the issues were for fire emergency services provided under contracts between the village and Andover Volunteer Fire Department.

Rome Township cemeteries additional tax levy rejected by voters

ROME TOWNSHIP-Voters in Rome Township and a portion of Roaming Shores Village in the township dumped the 1.25 of a mill additionaly tax levy on the Nov. 6 election ballot to generate revenue for upkeep of the township’s four cemeteries. The issue failed to pass by a 66 vote margin.
