CONNEAUT – Conneaut City Manager Jim Hockaday’s biggest regret at Conneaut City Council’s first work session of 2020 on Monday night may have been having to tell Ward 3 Councilman Joe Emery, passing on a question from Cathy McBride, that there is nothing that the city can do to reverse the decision by KeyBank to close its Main Street office on March 13.

Joslin Field Scoreboard Donations Coming In

CONNEAUT – The Conneaut Area City Schools Board of Education accepted donations totaling $5,600 for the new Joslin Field scoreboard at its Dec. 18 meeting at Conneaut High School library.

Council Ends 2019 By Approving TIF For Truck World, Dredging Facility Lease

CONNEAUT – Conneaut City Council President Debbie Newcomb’s final meeting on the eve of the eve of Christmas was nearly 90 minutes long and included significant legislation dealing with the Truck World complex, the 2020 budget, completing a year of work in order to process sediment created by Lake Erie dredging, and opening of more wooded areas to the public in East Conneaut.
