Originally founded as the Ohio Academy of General Practice, the OAFP was created to maintain the highest-quality standards for family physicians who were providing comprehensive health care to the public.

Senator Encourages Ohio Students to Apply Ahead of Sept 14 Deadline

Aug. 7, 2018 – U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that his office will host the fourth annual “Propel Ohio: Collegiate Leadership Summit.” The one-day conference will be held at Cleveland State University on October 12, 2018, and Brown encouraged students to apply ahead of the September 14, 2018 deadline.

PUCO adopts 937/326 area code schedule

COLUMBUS, Aug. 8, 2018 – The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio today approved a plan to implement the new 326 area code. The 326 area code will overlay the existing 937 area code, which is expected to run out of available phone numbers in 2020.

Consumer Alert: Individuals Posing as Premier Health Plan Representatives to Steal Premium Funds

COLUMBUS — Ohio Department of Insurance Director Jillian Froment is warning Ohioans of an insurance fraud scam involving individuals posing as representatives of Dayton-based Premier Health Plan. Premier Health Plan, as of April 1, 2018, no longer offers health insurance products, but consumers from across the country are receiving numerous automated calls selling Premier Health Plan insurance.
