Conel becomes All-American

CLEVELAND - Kyle Conel, of Kent State and former Lakeside Dragon, paved the way to a third place in the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships with his dominate performance during the first round of action on Thursday, March 15. Going into the tournament Conel was 26-10 on the year and finished second during the Mid-American Conference Tournament to qualify for the NCAA Championships.

ASHTABULA – The boys portion of the Ashtabula County Basketball Foundation senior classic kicked-off after the girls game ended in a close 64-61 contest.

Warriors fall in district championship game

ASHTABULA – The Edgewood Warriors boys basketball team fell to the Lake Catholic Cougars in a recent Division II district semifinal game. The Cougars won the contest 55-46 to advance to the district championship game.

Lady Rangers lasso trip to district finals

   For the first time since 2002 the Eastlake North High School Rangers lassoed a trip to the district finals with a win over the Chardon Lady Hilltoppers 50 to 41.
