Governor DeWine unveils STRONG Ohio Bill

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio Governor Mike DeWine on Monday unveiled a series of legislative proposals to better protect Ohio citizens and law enforcement officers from those with a propensity toward violence and to provide help to individuals who are a danger to themselves or others.

Educate and Create County Auditor GIS Education Session to be held

KINGSVILLE — The Kingsville Public Library will be hosting Ashtabula County David Thomas for its Educate and Create evening on Wednesday, Oct. 23, at 5:30 p.m. The session will consist of a presentation on Ashtabula County’s GIS (Geographic Information System) and how residents can utilize this tool.

Green infrastructure being explored in Ashtabula County

JEFFERSON - Commissioner Kathryn Whittington organized an informational meeting on green infrastructure last week, hosting Keland Logan, the director of the Colony Youngstown. 
After meeting through a mutual friend, Whittington and Logan decided to host a meeting about engaging Ashtabula County in green infrastructure.

Governor DeWine signs SB 57, which decriminalizes hemp

COLUMBUS, Ohio — On Tuesday, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine signed Senate Bill 57, which directs the Ohio Department of Agriculture to draft rules to regulate the licensing and processing of hemp, and which, consistent with the 2018 federal Farm Bill, removes hemp from the controlled substances list.
